The following outline will help you to determine your plan of action. Put careful thought into it; you want as much as possible going for you in maintaining your cool...

My first Relapse Prevention Plan

Name three people you can talk to if you get the urge to get stoned or loaded:

Remember, relapse is a common occurrence. Sometimes success can only be measured in baby steps. If you go out and use again - Don’t give up on yourself. When you sober up... figure out what triggered you to drink or use, and make a plan to prevent it from happening any more. What have you learned from past relapses?

Maybe you think you can go out and drink or use drugs again and that it is: No Big Deal - You Can Handle it! Well, only you can determine if your substance use is truly a problem for you. Be honest with yourself. Living healthy is hard work, but you are worth it!
